The theme for DRJ36 April is… FOLLOW

The theme is purely inspirational and not required in your submission. Every submission will be voted on, but only submissions that followed the theme will be eligible for the prize pool.

At the end of the Jam, there will be a voting period that lasts  until 10pm on the following Monday. Your game will be rated on:

This is a public vote and will be open to everyone. To avoid cheating, 3 random submissions must be rated before you can vote on any more submissions. There will be a moderator vote to determine the winner, but this will be based on the public vote, and if the submission has successfully followed the theme.

The Devs That Jam 36 hour challenge rewards a prize to the submission with the highest ratings at the end of the jams voting period. This months prizes includes:

- A £10 Steam Gift card

- A funky DTJ Keyring

- A DTJ36 winners badge

- A permanent spot in the Hall of Fame on our website [www.devsthatjam.co.uk/hall-of-fame]

TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE:

- The winning team / solo winner must be a member of the DevsThatJam discord community. Team members MUST be linked to the submission page in order to receive a prize.

- A maximum of 4 prizes will be awarded - 1 per team member.

- DevsThatJam will contact you via the email you provide on the itch.io profile you submit your game with, so please ensure you keep this up to date. A DTJ Moderator will also send you a DM via Discord.

- You must respond to the email from devsthatjam@gmail.com or the direct message via Discord within 48 hours with your postage address for your prize.

Rules:

Read the DTJ Rules & FAQ's here: [https://www.devsthatjam.co.uk/rules] Anyone who breaks the rules will be disqualified from the jam.

Keep a maximum of 4 team members per jam team, otherwise you'll have a hard time coordinating in just 36 hours. Also, a maximum of 4 prizes will be awarded to the winning team - 1 per team member.

No NSFW content.  Graphic content and trigger warnings must be clearly labelled with a content warning at the start of the game as well as in it's description or cover. Anything inappropriate will be disqualified.

FAQ:

Can I submit a game I made previously?  No. You can only submit projects made within the time frame.

Can I make changes during the judging period? Yes, just make sure that the original version of the jam can still be played. Only the original version will be judged.

Do I have to follow the theme? No, but your game will not be entered into judging.

Can I use code and assets from my other jam submissions? Yes, as long as you have the rights to use it.  The DTJ 36 hour Jam isn't strict on the "build it from scratch" rule.

Do I have to upload my submission in a particular format? We recommend you upload your game so it is playable in the itch.io web browser. However, a downloadable file also is fine. Some submissions may be bigger than itch.io's 1GB download limit - we recommend linking to a public google driver folder folder to work around this.

I couldn't submit on time, what do I do? There is a #Jam_Support channel on the DTJ discord server which provides info about how to submit late if you missed the deadline.
