There are some reasons to upload in two locations, one related to redundancy (should one platform become slow or unresponsive) and one related to your own game jam portfolio - many of us have itch.io accounts already, from other Galway Game Jam events, which act as our portfolio for various aspects of game making. It's useful to include our Global Game Jam games in our itch.io profiles.

You can participate in this jam on-site or remotely. Joining our discord is a great way to match with a team ahead of the time and keep in touch if you are participating remotely

This is a hybrid game jam - you can develop in a team or solo, socialize in our discord and onsite. We will support team formation in the lead up to the jam on our discord also.

Day 1 - Friday January 23rd, 18.00 to 21.00

Day 2 - Saturday January 24th, 10.00 to 18.00

Day 3 - Sunday January 25th, 10.00 to 18.00

Please bring your own computers/laptops and any cables and peripherals you might need. You may leave these at the venue at your own risk.
Internet via WiFi and power provided.
Some computer equipment such as laptops may be available for loan during the game jam - please contact organisers at least one week in advance if you wish to avail of this.
