This is the game jam for those who have a project they want to bring and jam together with others in a spirit of finishing energy. You don't necessarily have to bring a project, but most people will probably bring a project to work on. The concept of this event is to have accountability by setting aside the time and going to the location, and to draw on the excitement of being around others making progess on their projects.
The introductions will be in-person at Neumont College in Salt Lake City on that Friday at 6pm. In your introduction, plan to share what state your project is in, and what you plan to accomplish in the weekend, and what interactions you'd like to have with other jammers. There will not be a projector set up, nor will it be livestreamed. This is a very casual event and you will likely make your presentation with the group gathered around your computer/device to see your game.
Jammers will then need to find a library or cafe to jam at on Saturday. Jammers can use the utahgamedev discord to coordinate meetups and interactions.
Then at the end on Sunday at 4pm we will meet back together in-person at Neumont College to show our progress and hopefully playtest everyone's finished games!
(Jammers do not need to upload games to itch.io to participate. There will be no voting or ranking or judging. There will be no food or drinks provided unless a volunteer finds a last-minute sponsor. You must be able to be in person at the introductions and the final presentations to participate. Teams may have remote participants as long as at least one member can attend in person, but the introductions and final presentations will not be viewable online.)
