Over the next few days, you’ll have the opportunity to create a game using Unreal Engine that incorporates something uniquely Nordic. • Engine & Build Requirements: Unreal Engine (any version) and Windows PC builds
• Duration: from Friday (31st of Jan 2025) at 18:00 to Sunday at 22:00 (2nd of Feb 2025)
• Team Size: You can go solo or form a team (up to 5 people)
• Allowed Content: All assets must be created during the jam or be FAB assets (assets you legally own on FAB only!).
• Banned Content: Harmful or prejudicial themes related to gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, appearance or hate messaging.

Judging Criteria

• Gameplay First: This is the main criteria for the judges reviewing the games.
  • ▶️Is your game fun to play?
• Aesthetics Second: This is the secondary criteria.
  • ▶️Is your game pleasing / interesting to look at?
• Theme Third: “Scandinavian Spirit” is the theme and the third criteria. Let your imagination run wild, exploring anything from forests filled with mythical creatures, cozy midsummer festivals or the iconic architecture of a favorite Northern Europe town. The theme is broad enough that you can interpret it however you like!

NOTE: Anyone (from anywhere) is allowed to enter, but this is first and foremost an event for the game development scene in Sweden.

Once the jam is over, in the 2 weeks following the end submission, the judges will then play all the entries and pick the winner (and follow-up contenders) based on the 3 criteria above.
